Henrik Egelyng combines expertise and passion working with colleagues across the nature and society interphase. His research focus on the role of institutional – ecological and natural resource - economics in use and protection of natural capital and environmental service functions. His current research focuses on institutional conditions for ecoefficiency in the Norwegian agricultural and fisheries sector (CYCLE) and institutional requirements for valorisation of food and agriculture in Africa (VALOR), EU and Scandinavia. A track of missions in more than 25 countries, as team leader/member, and assignments as presenter at international conferences and workshops, provided Henrik international experience enabling collaboration with people from many areas, cultures & disciplinary fields. He has also a long track record of authoring and reviewing research applications, and manuscripts, as well as evaluating, monitoring and reviewing intervention projects. Acknowledged for his innovative approach to development research, Henrik believes in the value of thinking outside the box and in pursuing win-win-solutions, including through innovative use of economic instruments to achieve green inclusive growth.
