Open lecture with Steffen Stræde, CEO at Copenhagen Zoo
Meet the CEO that does not believe in strategies and key performance indicators but who’s mantra is: release the employees.
Steffen Stræde, CEO of Copenhagen Zoo, has a very untraditional take on leadership. Being the leader of a highly diverse organisation with 450 employees, he believes in letting go of the control related to more traditional management, and instead rely on the creativity, motivation and passion of his employees as the engine that drives the future development of the organisation. Read more about Steffen Stræde’s leadership style here (in Danish).
Steffen Stræde has a Masters in Forestry and a PhD in Natural Resource Management from University of Copenhagen. He has been the CEO of Knuthenborg Estate and Animal Park and CEO of A.C. Schmidt A/S.
