The ph.d. project "Development of a cross-cultural neuropsychological test battery for assessment of cognitive impairment in traumatized refugees" aims to create a culturally sensitive cognitive test for refugees suffering from PTSD. The study goal is to design and validate a test battery applicable across languages and educational backgrounds, with the ability to be administered with interpreters.
Using a case-control design with Arabic and Farsi-speaking patients in treatment for PTSD and Arabic and Farsi-speaking healthy controls, we seek to differentiate cognitive impairment from PTSD-related factors.
The participants is included from DIGNITY - Danish Institute against Torture (DIGNITY), and RehabiliteringsCenter for Traumatiserede (Haderslev).
The project is supervised by T. Rune Nielsen and co-supervised by Marie Høgh Thøgersen and Sabina Palic-Kapic
