Economic Incentives and Recommendations from Expert Group on Setting Aside Organic-Rich Soils

Open online seminar with Jacob Vesterlund Olsen, Department of Food and Resource Economics and the Expert Group on Setting Aside Organic-Rich Soils in Denmark.

The expert group on setting aside organic-rich soils in Denmark was appointed in summer 2022. The group should give recommendations to set aside as much organic-rich soil as soon as possible. In aa upcoming report, the expert group will give recommendations on how to set aside a part of the area with organic-rich soils. This report is expected to be released in January.

Jakob Vesterlund Olsen from IFRO is a member of the expert group. On Tuesday, February 20 between 12.00 and 13.00, Jakob will therefore give an online seminar on the upcoming report from the expert group. The title of the online seminar is: “Economic Incentives and Recommendations from Expert Group on Setting Aside Organic-Rich Soils”. At the online seminar Jakob will focus on economic incentives the landowners are facing and why setting aside organic-rich soils is a lengthy process.
