About the seminar

This seminar will present some of the main element of the European Commission Proposal for Post 2027 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) with a focus on likely questions IFRO will be faced with in the public-sector services work.

The seminar will not present any final results, but elements of the Commission proposal and likely challenges that will come regarding IFRO’s public-sector services work and policy implementation.

Focus will be on the proposed degressive area-based income support, the proposed range of the average of this aid, between 130 EUR and 240 EUR per hectare, possible farmer response to degressive area-based income support and possible interaction between the minimum national contribution to the environmental interventions and the chosen level of average area-based income support. This focus will be based on Article 6 of EU 2025/0241/COD and Article 35 of EU 2025/0240/COD.
