Jens Erik Ørum, born 15 August 1955, has been working within environmental and production economics in relation to crop production (in particular crop protection, crop response to nitrogen, nitrogen leaching, nitrogen regulation, irrigation, precision agriculture, decision support systems and farm management). He is - in close cooperation with Aarhus University - maintaining the departments farm-level behavioural-models on pesticide use and nitrogen regulation used for public consultancy. His took part in the design of a new pesticide load indicator and a new pesticide tax based on this load. He is editor on the national pesticide statistics and responsible for the economic evaluation of the actual Danish pesticide action plan.
